Slotting between the ED and EL Falcon, the Ford EF Falcon (1994-1996) marked the fourth major facelift of the fifth-generation Aussie full-sizer and added the Fairmont luxury tier to the line-up.

The EF Falcon arrived in showrooms from 1994, serving as the immediate successor to the ED and the bridge to the final EL of 1996. While retaining the underlying EA-on architecture, it represented the fourth significant update within the fifth-generation Falcon family.

With a width of 1 861 mm and a height of 1 453 mm, the EF sat squarely in Australian full-size territory. Visual changes over ED centred on smoother bumpers, updated tail-lamps and a revised grille, yet the fundamental three-box silhouette and rear-wheel-drive dimensions remained.
Engineering Highlights
Alongside the regular sedan and wagon, Ford Australia reintroduced the Fairmont badge to the EF lineup, pairing chrome-laden trim levels with more generous sound-deadening and powered extras.
Suspension, driveline, and power-train options carried over largely unchanged, but improved braking hardware and minor NVH tweaks improved real-world refinement.
