Introduced in 1936, the Buick Limited was Buick's top-of-the-line model until 1942, and made a comeback as a halo car in 1958 to commemorate General Motors' 50th anniversary. The Limited nameplate has since been used intermittently by Buick to denote its highest trim levels.
