Launched in 2017, the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo is a 5-door liftback executive car that succeeded the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo. Based on the BMW 5 Series (G30), it was later facelifted in 2020 and eventually discontinued in 2023.
History
The BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo, codenamed G32, is the second generation of BMW's Gran Turismo range. It replaced the F07 BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo, which was based on the F10 5 Series. The G32 was introduced in 2017 and underwent a facelift in 2020 alongside the G30 5 Series.
Design and Engineering
The 6 Series Gran Turismo measures 5091mm in length, 1902mm in width, and 1538mm in height. For the 2021 model year, all engines were upgraded to 48-volt mild hybrids, featuring a belt alternator starter for assistance.
Legacy
The 6 Series Gran Turismo was discontinued in August 2023 without a direct successor, marking the end of the Gran Turismo line for BMW.
