Debuting with unfinished dreams, the Lotus 92 was the last Formula One car begun under founder Colin Chapman and campaigned by Team Lotus during the early 1983 season.
History
Engineers Martin Ogilvie and Colin Chapman shaped the Lotus 92 in the waning months of 1982, a design begun before Chapman’s death in December of that year. Its single season of competition was confined to the early 1983 Formula One calendar, marking the final Lotus born under the founder’s oversight.
