Lancia Kappa Coupé

Unveiled at the 1996 Geneva Motor Show, the Lancia Kappa Coupé was a sleek two-door grand tourer that rounded out Lancia’s flagship Kappa family and capped the lineage started by the earlier Lancia Gamma.
Design
Pininfarina sculpted a clean, pillar-less silhouette around the Kappa sedan’s front-wheel-drive platform. With a length of 4560 mm, width of 1825 mm and height of only 1430 mm, the Coupé sat 40 mm lower and 20 mm wider than its four-door sibling, giving it a planted stance without altering the modest front and rear overhangs.
Positioning
Positioned as the Lancia flagship, the Kappa Coupé was tasked with replacing the Lancia Gamma, though its three-box shape and restrained detailing marked a stylistic departure from the angular predecessor. No direct successor arrived, making the Kappa Coupé the final word in Lancia’s executive coupe tradition.
