Concept super-car built by Lamborghini in 1999, the Pregunta is a one-off prototype designed to explore extreme aerodynamics and new styling language. Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October 1999, it remains the brand’s last pure internal-combustion concept before the arrival of modern hybrids.
Design & Purpose
Forming part of Lamborghini’s late-1990s design experiments, the Pregunta is based on the Diablo VT running gear yet wrapped in entirely new carbon-fiber bodywork. Airflow tunnels, canopy-style glass roof and exposed exhaust outlets were conceived by the Italian coach-builder Heuliez as a genuine high-speed test-bed for aerodynamics, not as a production preview.
Performance & Engineering
Power comes from Lamborghini’s 5.7-litre V12 rated at 530 hp, sent through a 6-speed manual and full-time four-wheel drive inherited from the Diablo VT. Top speed was estimated at 207 mph (333 km/h), while 0–60 mph is cited at roughly 3.9 seconds, numbers confirmed during track validation runs in Italy and France.
