Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera

The Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera is a lightweight, track-focused evolution of the V10-powered Gallardo that set new standards for Italian supercar agility when it debuted in March 2007 at the Geneva Motor Show.
Design
Carbon-fiber panels replaced glass and aluminum on the bumpers, diffuser, engine cover and door panels, stripping 100 kg from the curb weight and draping the car in matte-black accents against optional Superleggera-only Verde Ithaca or Arancio Borealis paint.
Performance
The dry-sump 5.0-liter V10 was tuned to 530 PS (390 kW; 523 hp) and 510 N·m (376 lb-ft) of torque, launching the 1,430 kg coupe to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and on to a 315 km/h top speed—figures that humbled contemporary 911 GT2s and Ferrari F430 Scuderias.
Legacy
With only 618 examples built across two production runs (2007 coupe and 2008–2009 Spyder), the Superleggera solidified Lamborghini’s commitment to lightweight composites, techniques that later migrated directly to the Huracán Performante and STO.
