History
Launched in 2011 and built at Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, the Aventador arrived as the definitive successor to the decade-old Murciélago. Its name pays homage to a formidable Spanish fighting bull that battled in Zaragoza in 1993, continuing Lamborghini’s tradition of naming V-12 cars after historic toros.

The low-slung silhouette measures 4 780 mm long, 2 030 mm wide and just 1 136 mm tall, giving the two-seater an unmistakable wedge profile. With a dry weight of 1 575 kg, the carbon-fiber monocoque chassis contributes to structural rigidity while keeping mass in check.
Performance
The naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V-12 drives all four wheels and propels the Aventador to a verified top speed of 351 km/h (218 mph). This figure places it among the fastest series-production cars of its era, with acceleration runs rivaling dedicated track machines.
