Manufactured from 1980 to 1983, the Lincoln Continental Mark VI was Ford Motor Company’s flagship full-size luxury car and the fifth installment of the prestigious Mark series.

The Mark VI succeeded the bold Continental Mark V and bridged the gap to the more aerodynamic Mark VII. Positioned atop the Lincoln range, it absorbed the role of Lincoln’s flagship while signaling a shift from the traditional early-1970s styling to a more conservative 1980s direction.
Distinctive Dimensions
At 1,980 mm wide, the Mark VI maintained the generous proportions expected of a full-size American luxury sedan, providing ample shoulder room and a substantial road presence without the extreme length adjustments that later generations embraced.
Legacy
