Ford Mustang

Unveiled at the 2022 North American International Auto Show, the Ford Mustang S650 represents the seventh generation of the storied pony car series, entering production on May 1, 2023, to carry the nameplate into a new decade.
Generations
The S650 is preceded by the sixth-generation Mustang and marks another evolutionary step in Ford's pony-car timeline. It rolls off the line at Ford’s Flat Rock Assembly Plant, the same facility that has built Mustangs since 2004, ensuring continuity in manufacturing proficiency and heritage.
Performance
Launch powertrains keep the choice between boosted four-cylinder thrust and classic V8 appeal. A redesigned 2.3 L EcoBoost turbocharged inline-4 delivers 315 hp, while the revised 4th-generation Coyote V8 pumps out 480–486 hp in GT trims and 500 hp in the new-for-2024 Dark Horse variant.
Availability
First deliveries began shortly after the May 2023 production kickoff. Coupes and convertibles offer the two engine choices at launch, with Ford signaling ongoing updates but no successor in the pipeline.
