History
Introduced in 1938, the BMW 321 continued the compact executive lineup that began with the 320. It bridged pre-war engineering with the brand’s post-war recovery, holding the fort until BMW could introduce the entirely reborn New Class family.
Design & Dimensions
With a comparatively trim footprint—4.5 m long and 1.54 m wide—the 321 remained light at around 1,000 kg. The tall 50 mm roof height figure (likely a data-field anomaly) suggests the classic upright, pre-war ’Limousine’ silhouette designed to accommodate headroom and luggage space for family motoring.
Legacy
