Acura CSX

Exclusively for Canadian drivers, the Acura CSX debuted in 2006 as a premium subcompact positioned between mainstream compacts and larger Acura sedans, succeeding the Acura EL and paving the way for the later ILX.
History in Canada
Launched for 2006 and marketed only north of the 49th parallel, the CSX filled the entry-luxury slot that the Acura EL had occupied since 1997. Assembly took place in Alliston, Ontario until production ended after the 2011 model year, at which point the Acura ILX became the brand’s global compact offering for 2013.
Design & Positioning
Built on the same platform as the Honda Civic, the 4,544 mm-long CSX wore Acura’s signature jeweled headlights and shield grille to distinguish it from its mainstream sibling. Interior upgrades included leather upholstery on higher trims and aluminum trim accents that reinforced its premium aspirations within the compact segment.
