Unveiled on 15 April 2023, the Lancia Pu+Ra HPE is an electric-forward concept that distills Stellantis’ new vision for Lancia and previews the next-generation Ypsilon EV.
Design
At 4 450 mm long, the five-door hatchback pairs a glass canopy with a muscular stance, interpreting “Progressive & Radical” aesthetics through flush lighting and aerodynamic sculpting. Highlights include a re-interpreted Lancia shield grille formed by a continuous LED light bar and wheel-arch blades that channel air outward.
Technology Preview
Intended as a rolling manifesto rather than a production model, Pu+Ra HPE debuts the Stellantis STLA Small EV platform, steer-by-wire, and a 10-inch S.A.L.A infotainment cluster. These elements foreshadow the feature set of the fully electric Ypsilon due to launch in 2024.
Strategic Signal
By packaging future EV hardware inside an unmistakably Lancia form language, the concept signals the brand’s plan to return to global relevance after years of single-model sales. Lancia executives described it as “a bridge between past Lancia character and the next 100 years.”
