Design
The Soul EV lifts the tall, boxy silhouette of Kia’s Soul subcompact SUV and adds EV-specific trim such as a revised front grille housing the charging port and unique lighting signatures. Its 414 mm overall length places it firmly in the city-friendly subcompact class.
Performance
The EPA rates the 2020 Soul EV at 243 miles (391 km) of range, translating to real-world efficiency suitable for most daily commutes and moderate weekend trips without recharging.
Legacy
As Kia’s first battery-electric model aimed beyond compliance markets, the Soul EV acted as a technology bridge, previewing the brand’s later Niro EV and EV6 while normalizing electric ownership within the budget crossover segment.
