Launched globally for the 2021 model year, the Kia Carnival (KA4) ushers in the fourth iteration of Kia’s popular MPV, replacing the outgoing YP-series with a wholesale redesign.
Generations
Slotting in as the direct successor to the Kia Carnival (YP), the KA4 represents a clean-sheet development for the 2021–onward timeframe. No successor has yet been announced, making the KA4 the current flagship people-mover in Kia’s global lineup.
Design
The fourth-generation Carnival adopts Kia’s latest family styling cues—featuring a bold “tiger-nose” grille and sharper LED lighting—packaging them into a larger, more squared-off silhouette that aims to blur the line between traditional minivan and crossover SUV proportions.
