Kia engineered the Sonet specifically for emerging-market drivers who want a taller seating position but need to thread city traffic and tight parking bays. Built on a shared platform with the Hyundai Venue, it is currently assembled in India at Anantapur and exported across Asia, Africa, and parts of South America.

The Sonet’s footprint is exactly 3995 mm long, 1790 mm wide and 1647 mm tall—right on the sub-4 m segment limit that attracts reduced tax in several developing economies.
