Launched as the spiritual successor to the Kia Opirus, the Kia K9 is the South Korean brand’s answer to full-size executive sedans and reaches global customers under the names K900 and Quoris.
Global positioning and naming
Kia sells one body style under three badges: K9 in its home and select right-hand-drive regions, K900 in North America, and Quoris everywhere else. This split helps the marque localize marketing without altering the fundamental product.
Exterior dimensions
Stretching 5095 mm in length, 1900 mm in width and standing only 1490 mm tall, the K9 adopts a long, low, wide stance typical of contemporary luxury flagships while remaining manageable in dense urban traffic.
Generations
Two distinct generations have appeared to date: the first, released in 2012, replaced the Opirus and established Kia’s credibility in the segment. A thoroughly redesigned second generation arrived later, refining powertrains, safety and cabin technology.
