დიზაინის ნიუანსები

Positioned between the original front-drive FD and the later PD generation, this Hyundai i30 variant marked a mid-cycle update of the Korean brand’s C-segment hatchback. Its slightly thicker body—measuring 1 780 mm across—gave it a wider, planted stance in an increasingly crowded compact class.

Design tweaks
The 1 780 mm width remained unchanged from its predecessor, but redesigned bumpers and a slightly wider track visually stretched the hatchback. LED daytime-running lights replaced earlier bulb units, and alloy wheels up to 17 inches were offered for the first time on mid-trim models. Color palettes expanded with two new metallics—‘Champion Blue’ and ‘Stardust Grey’—popular in European fleets.
Market positioning
Slotting below the larger Hyundai i40 and above the smaller i20, this interim i30 targeted European C-segment buyers priced out of Golf territory yet wary of Korean depreciation. Lateral width translated directly into rear-seat shoulder room, a data point Hyundai leveraged in brochures against the narrower Ford Focus Mk3.
