Slotting between the VP and VS, the Holden Commodore (VR) rolled off GM-Holden lines from 1993-1995 and broadened the family to include passenger, luxury and light-commercial variants in one tidy package.
Model Range
Holden stretched the VR umbrella wide: alongside the sedan and wagon sat the up-spec Commodore Berlina (VR) and the flagship Holden Calais (VR), while the working-class Holden Ute (VR) brought car-like comfort to the local light-commercial segment for the first time.
Generations
The VR is counted as the third and final refresh of the Commodore’s second generation, effectively bridging the gap between the earlier VP and the all-new VS platform that arrived in 1995.
