Debuted at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and rolled out for the 2014 model year, the Ford Transit Courier revived the Courier nameplate while becoming the most compact member of the Transit family.
History & Model Range
Ford of Europe introduced the Transit Courier to plug the gap left by the last Ford Courier van in 2002. Positioned below the Transit Connect and larger siblings, the Courier is offered both as a panel van and—under the Tourneo Courier badge—as a leisure-oriented passenger variant.
Design & Dimensions
Built on the B-car architecture of the Ford Fiesta, the Courier squeezes commercial practicality into city-friendly dimensions: 4 157 mm long, 1 976 mm wide and 1 725 mm tall. The tall roof and wide track maximize usable cargo space while remaining easy to maneuver in tight streets.
Engineering & Capability
Despite its compact footprint, the Courier retains key Transit DNA: a large rear cargo opening, fold-flat passenger seat for longer loads, and core driver aids such as roll-stability control. The Fiesta foundation brings agile handling, fuel-efficient powertrains and familiar car-like ergonomics to small-biz users.
