Citroën Karin

ინტერიერი
სალონი ერთადერთი მძღოლის ცენტრში ყოფნით იწყება – მარცხნიდან და მარჯვნიდან თითო სტუმარი ეწყობა უკან. თვითმფრინავის კაბინას გავს, სადაც გამჭვირვალობა მართვის კომფორტზე მაღლა დგას.
რატომ აშენდა
Citroën მხოლოდ აეროდინამიკას არ ამოწმებდა – Karin ბრენდის დიზაინ სტუდიის ვიზიტკარტად იქცა. გაბრტყილი მინები და სარევოლუციო კარის მექანიზმი შემდეგ კონცეპტებში გადაბრუნდა.

At the 1980 Paris Motor Show, Citroën unveiled the Karin concept—a dramatic, pyramidal three-seater that served as a styling manifesto rather than a production preview.
Exterior Design
Trevor Fiore’s design places a near-vertical windshield and tapering glass sides above faired rear wheels, shrinking the roof to the area of an A3 sheet. Flush glazing and butterfly doors amplify the sci-fi silhouette.
Interior Layout
Inside, the driver sits centered ahead of two passengers in a fighter-jet-style cockpit. The unusual three-abreast arrangement maximizes visibility while underscoring the car’s show-car, not commuter, intent.
Concept Purpose
Beyond demonstrating Citroën’s willingness to explore radical aerodynamics and packaging, the Karin acted as a halo piece for the brand’s design studio, foreshadowing themes—flush glass and innovative door mechanisms—that would echo in later concept vehicles.
