The Chrysler New Yorker ran from 1939 through 1996 across eight major design cycles. Each new chassis, body shell, and engine family upgraded the model’s positioning at the top of Chrysler’s range, giving customers a domestic alternative to the most expensive Cadillacs and Lincolns.
