Chevrolet briefly added the Yeoman to its 1958 lineup, slotting it as the wallet-friendly entry among the brand’s trio of new full-size wagons.
1958 Model Year
Offered for one season only, the Yeoman replaced the Handyman and came in two sizes: a two-door and a four-door, both seating six passengers. Sharing its bones with the Delray series, it sat below the mid-tier Brookwood and premium Nomad in Chevrolet’s wagon pecking order.
Design & Dimensions
Sized like the contemporary full-size Chevrolets, the Yeoman stretched 5311 mm long, spanned 1974 mm wide, and stood 1458 mm tall. Visual cues from the Delray trim were carried over, wrapped around a utilitarian yet family-friendly wagon body.
One-Year Run
After the 1958 model year, the Yeoman badge disappeared, with the Brookwood taking over as the entry-level wagon. This single-year existence makes clean, original Yeomans a rare sight in today’s classic-Chevy circles.
