The Exeed Yaoguang is a mid-size crossover SUV developed by Exeed, the premium arm of Chinese automaker Chery. Launched to broaden Chery's global footprint, it is marketed as the RX in selected export regions and as the Omoda C9/9 in Africa, Asia and Europe.
Global Markets
Beyond its domestic launch, the Yaoguang wears two different export badges. In most overseas markets it is shipped as the Exeed RX, emphasizing its premium roots. In high-growth regions such as Africa, Asia and parts of Europe, the same vehicle is rebranded Omoda C9 or C9/9 to align with Chery’s emerging sub-brand strategy.
Size & Positioning
With exterior dimensions of 4 781 mm in length, 1 920 mm in width and 1 671 mm in height, the Yaoguang slots squarely within the upper-mid-size SUV segment. These proportions give it a footprint comparable to European and Japanese volume-class competitors while leaving room for a larger flagship in the Exeed line-up.
