The Chery Arrizo M7 is a compact multi-purpose vehicle introduced by Chinese automaker Chery Automobile under its Arrizo sub-brand. It carries the passengers-and-cargo body style that is hugely popular in China’s growing family-car segment.
Origins & Positioning
Arrizo M7 appeared in Chery’s lineup alongside the Arrizo 7 sedan as part of a 2014 branding exercise aimed at modernizing Chery’s image. Sitting length-wise just under 4.75 m, the M7 gives families a larger, taller alternative to compact sedans while retaining front-wheel-drive running gear borrowed from existing Chery platforms. Positioning keeps it below full-size minivans but above five-seat crossovers in the brand hierarchy.
Design
Exterior cues mirror the Arrizo family look: a twin-slat chrome grille, wraparound headlamps and a forward-leaning stance. Roof rails and a two-piece tailgate emphasize MPV practicality while maintaining a car-like ride height. Inside, three rows accommodate seven passengers with fold-flat second-row seats and an MDF-quality dashboard hosting a large central touchscreen.
Dimensions & Practicality
With overall dimensions of 4730 mm long, 1823 mm wide, and 1590 mm tall on a ca. 2800 mm wheelbase, the M7 offers more than 1200 L of cargo volume when the third row is tumbled forward. Kerb weight rings in at a modest 1590 kg, keeping it within the bracket for a 1.5–1.6 L petrol or turbocharged powertrain traditionally fitted to Chinese compacts.
