Chery Arrizo GX is a Chinese compact sedan that rolled out at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show, replacing the Arrizo 7 and later morphing into the Arrizo 5 Plus facelift.
From GX to 5 Plus
After its 2018 debut, the Arrizo GX gave way to a cosmetic and technical update for 2021 that saw the model relabeled Arrizo 5 Plus. The simultaneous name juggling across the Arrizo line condensed the range—Arrizo EX reverted simply to Arrizo 5—placing the refreshed car at the top of the sedan lineup.
Design & Dimensions
Built on the same platform as the Arrizo 5, the GX adds width for a more planted stance: 1 825 mm across and 1 490 mm tall. Its front end features a wide grille that transitioned from chrome spears to a matte-mesh pattern in the 2021 Plus facelift, underscoring a sharper, more contemporary look.
Performance Variant
September 2022 saw the launch of the Arrizo 5 GT, the sport-flavored take on the former GX architecture. With larger wheels and aggressive aero add-ons, this model gives the Arrizo line a performance halo while retaining the compact-sedan practicality Chery buyers expect.
