Bentley Continental GT

History
The Continental GT arrived just five years after Volkswagen AG acquired Bentley, filling the gap left by the previous Continental R. Built at the Crewe factory in England, it became Bentley’s first mainstream model built with modern automated processes, breaking from more traditional coach-built volumes.
Design
Offered solely as a two-door coupé (and later as a convertible), the GT preserved classic grand-tourer proportions with four usable seats under a long, sleek roofline. Clean surfacing and prominent matrix grilles connected modern technology with unmistakable Bentley visual DNA.
Family of Variants
Following the coupé’s launch, Bentley expanded the line with a convertible version and, shortly after, the Continental Flying Spur—a four-door saloon that shared the GT’s platform and powertrain while delivering limousine-like rear-cabin space.
