Crafted to mark fifty years of Aston Martin and Zagato collaboration, the Aston Martin V12 Zagato debuted at Lake Como's Villa d'Este on 21 May 2011. This limited-run grand tourer and endurance racer blends British performance with Italian coachwork flair.
Heritage & Launch
Created alongside Italian coachbuilder Zagato to celebrate 50 years since the iconic 1960 DB4 GT Zagato, the V12 Zagato was unveiled at the Concorso d'Eleganza where it promptly claimed the coveted Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes — the same honor the One-77 earned in 2009.
Body & Dimensions
The hand-formed aluminum and carbon-fiber body stretches to 4 385 mm in length and sits just 1 250 mm tall, riding on a 1 865 mm wide footprint. At 1 680 kg the car is notably lighter than contemporaries while maintaining structural strength required for endurance racing.
Variants
Two distinct models were released: the track-oriented Corsa introduced during 2011, distinguished by black bonnet and boot quick-release catches, and the road-going Stradale in 2012, which omits the race latches and mounts its exhaust outlets further apart for refined road manners.
