Produced from 1976 to 1990, the Škoda 120 was a rear-engined, rear-wheel drive small family car manufactured by AZNP in Czechoslovakia, part of a family of models that included the Škoda 105 and Škoda 125.
History
The Škoda 120 was introduced in 1976 as part of the Škoda Type 742 and 746 family, succeeding the Škoda 100. It was eventually replaced by the Škoda Favorit.
Design and Engineering
The Škoda 120 had a rear-engine, rear-wheel drive layout and was available with engine sizes of 1.2 liters, among others. Its dimensions were 4160mm in length, 1595mm in width, and 1400mm in height.
Generations
The Škoda 120 was part of a production run that lasted 14 years, with variations including the Škoda 105 and Škoda 125. Later versions, known as 135/136, used the new Favorit's engine and were given the internal model code 746.
Legacy
Over two million units of the Škoda Type 742 and 746 family were built during its production run, making it a significant model for the manufacturer.
