Hyundai Stargazer

Unveiled in 2022, the Hyundai Stargazer is a compact MPV that slots beneath the larger Staria, giving the Korean brand a direct rival to budget seven-seat options across Southeast Asia and other emerging markets.
Design & Packaging
At 4 460 mm long and 1 780 mm wide, the Stargazer is barely longer than a C-segment hatchback, yet its 2 780 mm wheelbase and flat floor design free up three rows of seating for six or seven occupants. Clamshell bonnet, full-width LED light bar and a stepped roofline echo Hyundai’s current SUV language while keeping overall height to 1 690 mm for easy urban garage access.
Dimensions & Weight
Keeping mass to just 1 191 kg benefits both fuel economy and agility in crowded cities. The narrow 5.4-m turning radius, enabled by a relatively short rear overhang, helps drivers maneuver the Stargazer through tight kampung back streets and multi-storey car parks with ease.
Market Focus
Built in Indonesia and shipped across ASEAN, the Stargazer prioritizes low running costs and flexible seating over premium materials. Its positioning undercuts the larger Toyota Avanza and Honda BR-V while offering Hyundai’s latest tech suite, including an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on higher trims.
