Slotting beneath the new Geometry umbrella, the Geometry A is Geely’s first purpose-built battery-electric compact sedan, launched in 2019 to compete head-on with mainstream EVs in the increasingly crowded Chinese market.
Design & Dimensions
Built on the dedicated GE platform, the Geometry A is a low-slung four-door measuring 4,736 mm in length, 1,804 mm across, and 1,503 mm tall—dimensions that place it squarely between the traditional compact and midsize classes. The fastback silhouette, flush door handles and slim LED lighting are intended to project a high-tech image, while the 1 650 kg curb weight reflects a floor-mounted lithium-ion battery rather than a converted fossil-fuel platform.
Market Positioning
Geely created the standalone Geometry sub-brand to isolate its pure-electric models from its largely combustion range. The A, positioned as the line’s launch model, targets private buyers and ride-hailing fleets, overlapping price brackets with the BYD Qin Pro and GAC Aion S.
