GAZ-2332 CityVan

Presented in the early 2000s, the GAZ-2332 CityVan was a compact Russian van and micro-bus designed for compact urban use with seating for up to nine passengers or flexible cargo configurations.
Design and Dimensions
Built around a monobox body on a derived Volga platform, the CityVan measured 4 500 mm long, 1 814 mm wide and 2 000 mm tall, giving it slightly larger exterior proportions than contemporary European compact vans. The tall roofline ensured upright seating across three rows, while the flat load floor and four side-doors emphasized easy access for both passengers and commercial goods.
Market Focus
GAZ intended the 2332 primarily for city shuttle services, postal routes and small businesses that needed a maneuverable yet capacious vehicle on tight urban roads. Prototype runs showcased both glazing-wagon and panel-van variants, but despite appearances at domestic trade shows the model never entered full series production.
Engineering Heritage
Mechanically the CityVan borrowed suspension components and gasoline engines from the GAZ Volga family, aiming to keep servicing simple and localized. The high driving position and short front overhang made it practical for Russian winters and rougher surface streets.
