FAW Group’s Xiali N5 is a subcompact four-door sedan built under the Xiali marque in China. Compact, economical and simple, it targeted budget-minded buyers after a traditional three-box car.
Design
At 4 155 mm long, 1 645 mm wide and 1 435 mm tall, the N5’s footprint places it firmly in the subcompact class while still offering a classic sedan silhouette. Straightforward lines, minimal chrome and no-frills bumpers emphasize practicality and low production cost.
Engineering & Position
Developed by FAW Group specifically for the Chinese domestic market, the N5 carried the Xiali badge, historically associated with rebadged Daihatsu Charades. Its engineering mix of proven, small-displacement powertrains and lightweight structure aimed at low purchase price, service simplicity and modest fuel consumption.
