Datsun Go+

Nissan revived the historic Datsun name for an all-new 2014-2022 mini-MPV called the Go+. Built to serve India, South Africa and Indonesia at an entry point price, the compact five-plus-two seater harks back to Datsun’s earliest car while riding on a thoroughly modern platform.
Design & Packaging
At just 3 995 mm long, 1 635 mm wide and 1 490 mm tall, the Go+ slips under India’s sub-4-metre excise tax cut-off yet finds room inside for a claimed "5+2" seating layout. The long-wheelbase body rides on 13-inch wheels and tips the scales at a feather-like 794 kg — a deliberate strategy to keep fuel consumption and purchase price low for emerging-market buyers.
Engineering Roots
Under its budget-friendly skin the Go+ shares the front-wheel-drive V platform and many suspension and drivetrain components with the K13-generation Nissan Micra. This approach allowed Nissan to leverage lower engineering and parts costs across multiple models while giving the mini-MPV the proven running gear of an existing global hatchback.
Regional Variants
Marketed only in developing nations, the Go+ spawned a pseudo-SUV spin-off: the 2018 Datsun Cross. Previewed by the Go-cross Concept at the 2015 Delhi Auto Show, the Cross added plastic cladding and ride-height tweaks to appeal to the growing crossover segment in Indonesia.
