From 2013 Changan Automobile presented the tall, practical Kaicene Ruixing M80, a Chinese MPV that gained a twin—and a new name—within its first decade. Born under the Kaicene sub-brand, it’s labeled Raesor in official export literature.
Launch & Positioning
Changan introduced the M80 in 2013, slotting it squarely into the mid-size delivery-and-people mover segment. Starting life under the Kaicene (Oushang) sub-brand, the model aimed straight at businesses needing high-roof cargo space without the bulk or cost of full-size vans.
Design & Dimensions
With a full-height profile of 1 990 mm, the M80 maximizes internal volume in a footprint modest enough for busy Chinese urban streets. The boxy silhouette remains deliberately functional, emphasizing ease of loading and passenger entry.
2019 Refinement & M60 Companion
In 2019, Changan released the slightly smaller M60 variant, positioned as the junior model below the M80 to broaden the family’s reach in price-sensitive fleets and family markets.
