Cadillac XT5

Launched at the 2015 Dubai and Los Angeles auto shows, the Cadillac XT5 took over from the long-running Cadillac SRX and became the first vehicle in Cadillac’s new Crossover Touring “XT” line-up.
Design
Sized at 4 815 mm long, 1 903 mm wide and 1 675 mm tall, the XT5 fits squarely in the compact luxury SUV segment. Its sharp creases and vertically oriented LED lighting echo the rest of Cadillac’s contemporary sedan range while adopting a higher roofline and larger wheels suited to crossover buyers.
Global Production
General Motors assembles North-American-market XT5 models at the Spring Hill Manufacturing plant in Tennessee, while Chinese-market vehicles roll off the SAIC-GM joint-venture line in Shanghai. This split production strategy supports local demand in both Cadillac’s home and its largest growth market.
Generations & Launch
The XT5 arrived in showrooms in the first quarter of 2016 as a direct replacement for the second-generation Cadillac SRX. No successor model has yet been announced, so the first-generation XT5 continues unchanged for now.
