The 2024 Cadillac Celestiq signals the brand’s high-voltage future, rolling out as Cadillac’s first all-electric flagship and the replacement for the CT6.
Design
Spanning 2,081 mm in width, the Celestiq is a low, broad four-door liftback whose proportions push the limits of sedan styling. Every body panel is hand-formed, and the glass roof is a single panoramic electrochromic pane that can tint on demand. Cadillac says no two cars will leave the Detroit workshop exactly alike, underscoring the model’s personalization focus.
Engineering
Under the show-car skin sits GM’s Ultium battery platform, powering the Celestiq with a 111 kWh pack and dual motors yielding all-wheel drive. Active rear steering and magnetic-ride control aim to balance limousine ride comfort with genuine cornering precision. Standard EV range is quoted at approximately 300 miles on a full charge.
Production & Positioning
Production started late 2024 inside General Motors’ Technical Center in Warren, Michigan, using a small-batch, craft-style assembly line. Each Celestiq takes weeks to finish, with customers invited to co-design interior trims, paint finishes, and bespoke details; the process positions Cadillac alongside ultra-luxury coachbuilders while flying the EV banner for parent GM.
