Model identity
The Denza Z is an impending battery-electric sports car that will be produced by BYD Auto and released under the Denza marque. Positioned above Denza’s current MPVs and luxury crossover line-up, the Z marks the brand’s move into performance territory.
Design intent
Although technical details are still under wraps, the Z’s silhouette follows the low-slung proportions typical of modern electric sports cars, hinting at deployable active aerodynamics and a driver-focused cockpit built around BYD’s Blade battery platform.
Market placement
When deliveries begin, the Denza Z will square off against offerings from domestic rivals such as NIO and Zeekr while also signalling to global brands that BYD is capable of building a flagship halo EV.
