The Bentley Mulliner Bacalar is a hand-built, two-seat supercar styled as the brand's modern interpretation of a classic barchetta. Unveiled in March 2020 by Bentley Mulliner, its in-house bespoke division, the Bacalar marks the marque's most exclusive contemporary offering.
Design
Drawing inspiration from the EXP 100 GT concept, the Bacalar carries a dramatic, windscreen-less silhouette with pronounced haunches and an elongated rear deck. Every exterior panel is newly designed in carbon-fiber, save the the heritage-look door handles taken from the 1950s Bentley R-Type Continental.
Production & Rarity
Bentley plans a run of just 12 cars, each already pre-sold to clients for an estimated £1.5 million, before options. Assembly takes place by hand at Bentley's Carbon Neutral-certified Crewe headquarters, with Mulliner coachbuilders offering virtually unlimited color, trim and livery personalization.
Performance Engineering (Limited Data)
While detailed specifications remain locked, the Bacalar is expected to house a retuned 6.0-liter W-12 and new 48-volt active anti-roll system seen in the Continental GT. Information beyond this scope has yet to be released by Bentley.
