Audi Q4 e-tron

March 2021 marked the start of production for the Audi Q4 e-tron, a compact luxury crossover that became the fourth fully-electric model in Audi’s growing e-tron lineup after the Q8 e-tron, e-tron GT and China-only Q2L e-tron.
Design & Dimensions
The Q4 e-tron carries the short-nose proportions demanded by its dedicated battery platform while delivering 4588 mm of overall length, 1865 mm of width and a roofline sitting at 1614 mm. Those dimensions place it just below Audi’s conventionally powered Q5 in footprint, delivering true crossover stance in an electric package purpose-built from the ground up.
MEB Platform
Underneath every Q4 e-tron is Volkswagen Group’s MEB electric architecture—the same modular toolkit that underpins models across VW, Škoda and Cupra lines. Audi adapts the skateboard floorpan to feed an 82 kWh lithium-ion battery (77 kWh net) housed flat between the axles, freeing cabin space and keeping weight low in the chassis.
Market Introduction
While production lines at Volkswagen’s Zwickau plant fired up in March 2021, Audi waited until the April 2021 press launch to reveal the final production version. Deliveries to European markets followed shortly after, with both Q4 e-tron SUV and the roof-sloped Q4 Sportback e-tron variants appearing on price lists within weeks.
