Audi's first flagship electric sedan launched in late 2020, pairing grand-touring proportions with battery-electric muscle and slotting alongside Porsche’s Taycan on the shared J1 architecture.
Development and Launch
Developed on the J1 platform shared with the Porsche Taycan, the e-tron GT became the third fully electric Audi after the Q8 e-tron pair of SUVs. Series production began in late 2020; customer cars reached dealerships in March 2021, followed quickly by the hotter RS e-tron GT early the next year.
Design and Dimensions
A low-slung four-door silhouette measuring 4 960 mm long, 1 960 mm wide and only 1 380 mm tall packages floor-mounted batteries within a 2 200 kg body. The GT proportions grant cabin space worthy of an executive car while preserving the visual stance of a traditional grand tourer.
