Škoda Auto introduced the Škoda Kamiq, a subcompact crossover SUV, in 2019, with deliveries starting that September. As the smallest of Škoda's SUV lineup, it follows the Škoda Yeti. The Kamiq is based on the 2018 Vision X concept.

The Škoda Kamiq is based on the Vision X concept that Škoda first introduced to the public in 2018. The name 'Kamiq' is derived from a word in the Inuit language, a naming convention also used for the Karoq and Kodiaq models.
