In 1991, the V3000 nameplate was transferred to the Australian-sourced Mitsubishi Verada (KR/KS) with a 3.0-litre V6 engine. This second generation of the V3000 continued until 1996, marking a shift in Mitsubishi's sourcing strategy for the New Zealand market.
