History
The Mitsubishi GTO was introduced in 1990 as a replacement for the Mitsubishi Starion. It was part of a collaborative effort between Mitsubishi and Chrysler, with Chrysler influencing the exterior styling of the Dodge Stealth, its badge-engineered variant.
Design and Variants
The GTO was manufactured as a three-door hatchback coupé with a 2+2 seating configuration. It was marketed in Japan as the GTO, while globally it was known as the 3000GT. In North America, it was sold as both the Mitsubishi 3000GT and the Dodge Stealth.
Specifications
The Mitsubishi GTO measured 4600mm in length, 1840mm in width, and 1285mm in height. It was available with all-wheel or front-wheel drive configurations, continuing Mitsubishi's tradition of innovative drivetrain technology.
