Toyota Classic

In 1996, Toyota produced the Toyota Classic, a limited-production luxury car styled after the 1930s–1940s Toyota AA. This retro-styled vehicle was based on the fifth generation Toyota Hilux frame. Only 100 units were sold.
Design
The Toyota Classic's exterior was inspired by the Toyota AA, while its interior was largely taken from a contemporary Toyota model, with additions such as wood trim on the dashboard and leather seats to give it a more classic feel.
Engineering
The car used a rear-wheel-drive frame from the fifth generation Toyota Hilux (GA-YN86) and was powered by a 2-litre 3Y-E petrol engine, producing 96 hp (72 kW) and 118 lbf⋅ft (160 N⋅m).
Production
Toyota sold 100 units of the Toyota Classic, priced at approximately US$75,000 each. The car's dimensions were 4885mm in length, 1735mm in width, and 1650mm in height, with a mass of 1480kg.
