Produced from 1959 to 1964, the Citroën Bijou is a small coupé built by Citroën in Slough, England, using the platform chassis of the Citroën 2CV. Although Citroën is a French brand, the Bijou was tailored for British tastes. Its unique design and shared suspension with the 2CV make it notable.
Design and Engineering
The Citroën Bijou shares its platform chassis and advanced independent suspension with the Citroën 2CV. Its design was intended to appeal to conservative British consumers who found the 2CV too utilitarian. The Bijou measures 3962mm in length, 1549mm in width, and 1168mm in height, with a mass of 605kg.
Production
