Opel Rekord P2

Introduced in the summer of 1960, the Opel Rekord P2 was a large family car produced by Opel, replacing the Opel Rekord P1. It retained the 'P' designation despite losing its distinctive wrap-around windscreen.
Design
The Opel Rekord P2 was slightly longer and wider than its predecessor, measuring 4515mm in length and 1632mm in width, while sharing the same 2,541 mm wheelbase. Although it lost the wrap-around windscreen, the driver's view remained good due to relatively thin A-pillars.
History
The Opel Rekord P2 was a successor to the Opel Rekord P1 and was later replaced by the Opel Rekord A. It was part of Opel's Rekord series, a line of large family cars.
