Nissan's Nuvu is a compact, all-electric concept car that debuted at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, showcasing innovative design and technology that would later influence production models.
Design
The Nuvu concept featured a unique 2+1 seating arrangement and incorporated solar panels shaped like tree leaves on its roof, channelling solar power through a central 'tree trunk' conduit. This design element was part of its futuristic and eco-friendly aesthetic.
Performance
The Nuvu concept was capable of reaching speeds of about 75 mph (121 km/h) and had an estimated range of up to 80 miles (129 km) on a single electric charge, demonstrating the potential for compact electric vehicles.
Legacy
Although the Nuvu did not enter production, its technological innovations were later incorporated into the Nissan Leaf, a significant model in Nissan's electric vehicle lineup.
