History
The Nissan Junior was introduced in 1956 to bridge the gap between the Datsun Truck, based on the Datsun Bluebird, and heavier Nissan trucks under the Nissan Diesel brand. After Nissan merged with Prince Motor Company, the Junior was sold alongside the Prince Miler at different Japanese dealerships until 1970.
Design and Variants
Following the merger with Prince Motor Company, the Nissan Junior and Prince Miler shared most characteristics. The Junior was specifically sold at Nissan Bluebird Store dealerships, distinguishing it from the Miler, which was sold at Nissan Prince Store locations.
Legacy
The Nissan Junior was produced for over two and a half decades, finally ceasing production in 1982. Its production run reflects its importance in Nissan's lineup during that period.
