Mazda's CX-30 is a subcompact crossover SUV that debuted at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, designed to fill the gap between the CX-3 and CX-5 in Mazda's lineup. Based on the fourth-generation Mazda3, it went on sale in Japan on 24 October 2019. The CX-30 is manufactured in multiple locations worldwide.
Design and Production
The Mazda CX-30 is built on the same platform as the fourth-generation Mazda3. Its dimensions include a length of 4395mm, width of 1795mm, and height of 1540mm. Global units are produced at Mazda's Hiroshima factory, with additional production in Salamanca, Mexico, for North and South America, and in Nanjing, China, by Changan Mazda for the Chinese market.
Launch and Manufacturing Locations
The CX-30 was first shown to the public at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. It went on sale in Japan on 24 October 2019. The vehicle is manufactured in several locations: Hiroshima, Japan; Salamanca, Guanajuato, Mexico; Rayong, Thailand, initially also at AutoAlliance Thailand; and Nanjing, China, by Changan Mazda.
